FATHER are supporting Korn on July 3rd @ Salata Stadium in Zagreb. We will be main support with just us and Korn on the bill, it is going to rock for sure. We are back from England! Tour was a great succes, we are most definitelly coming back next march due to a big interest from all the venues and people in England, so be prepared! After three times we had to cancel the show due to some strange reasons, this time the show is definitely confirmed! Father is supporting The Sisters of Mercy on their Slovenian show in Ljubljana, on June 19th. The singer of the legendary band Andrew Eldritch personaly chose us from numerous bands that were offered to open for their show in Slovenia. Father says -> A BIG THANKS SISTERS! ;) 08.05.2006. - The concerts that were supposed to be this weekend have been re-scheduled for a week. 14.04.2006. - Tomorrow's concert in Zadar has been re-scheduled for 12.05. The city said that concerts are forbidden on Easter weekend since there is no one to clean up afterwards. 09.03.2006. Tomorrow is our next show, it's in Kutina, a place called Baraka. We play with our friends from the group Defiant. Osijek and Pozega shows were great, thanks to Bosko for a great organization in both cities and a big thanks to the crowd, thanks for coming to the concert and making a great atmosphere - you rock! 28.02.2006. We played Pula and Izola this weekend, went down with a flu and got back pretty sick, but it all couldn't ruin the great shows! The club is out of the business at the moment, so this coming Friday we are not playing in Sibenik! This really aint our fault, so we'll come there as soon as possible. The gig is Split is still happening, we are at Kocka this Saturday, 18.02.! 06.02.2006. Just came back from Zagreb were we spent 3 days shooting the "Cynosure" video. Premier will probably be in club Gjuro in Zagreb on the 28th this month. We'll try to fix something for the Booka in Rijeka also, if Mance agrees with it. Damn cold in Zagreb, thanks to all the video crew, specialy to Ivana Roscic who plays the lead role in our video, as well as stars in the "Ta divna Splitska noc" and “Volim te” movies. She made thru a rough set, while lying on the floor in only a t-shirt, while it was - 10 degrees outside! Thank you big time ! Shooting of the next video in summer, on a beach, + 30 degrees… :) 02.02.2006. We played Tuzla and Travnik shows. In Tuzla someone broke into our van and took Sashas bag. Definitely the wrong bag to take. And so we also joined the big list of Croatian musicians that got robbed in Bosnia. Guess Pasi were the last ones just before us... If it wasn't for that “little” thing, eveything would be excellent! Thanks to everyone that came to shows and made a great atmosphere. Also a big thanks to Anes and Darko for such a warm welcome. We hope to play Tuzla again, just on a different conditions, with a special full-on security van:) Big thanks to the crowd in Travnik, this was our second time there, and it gets better everytime! That is the name of of our new friendly band from Pozega,and their name describes well the atmosphere of last friday night, a great vibe; singing, some pogo, jumping, and lots of beer! Yeah! That is what we call fiesta! We are thrilled with Pozega and with the way you have embraced us, thanks to all of you who came to the concert, you kick ass! It was a total slaughter!:) We Come one Is a very interesting band from Pozega that played before us, one of the curiosities of the band is that there is 10 of them on the stage, 6 play blowing instruments.That is really a lot of metal! A great interesting band with lots of practice and a home audience, we hope to play again soon together having beer! In the meantime we are waiting for those pictures. Send them guys so people here can see what you and Harlekin look like! Saturday we see eachother in the X club,(biker fast food) in Labin. The opening act before us are a new coming hip-hop band called Verbal M, the soundmaster is Soundbox from Labin. See ya all there along with the Pula crew. We also have one "sorry" note for the Zadar crew that showed up friday in front of the Maya pub expecting our concert. We are very sorry that came to a comunication breakdown with the "24 sata " magazin, that probably caused the missunderstanding. An apology from our side even though we had nothing to do with it because we cancelled that gig in our nwsletter on the 07.11 and on the air of Radio Zadar. By the way, the organization of that gig was our own and of our manager and noone else from Zadar had nothing to do with it or will in the near future. We heard some stories around, so this is just an information for those who know what this is about. Rijeka's magazine Val published the Father-interwiew,but by mistake just half of it (you might have noticed), the editor apologises and says that in the next issue will release the restofit along with the review of the album . On the Vip.music.hr top 30 we climbed up for 1 place so we stand 4th, and on the Croatian Radio HR top 20 we are on the 6th place. on Radio Makarska we stand 12th. Thank you Makarska! A great thank you to all of you who vote for us, we have candy for ya all! 22.11.2005. - Hello Father crew! A new gig in Pozega is on for friday, 25.11., club HARLEKIN. One more band is playing with us, guys from Pozega, we hope that the concert will be well visited and that we'll have a good party! We play as guests of the projection of the film called «Ritam rock plemena – od Uragana do Urbana», a great film by Bernardin Modric, about Rijeka's rock scene from the begining 'till today. Unfortunately the Sisak show has been cancelled. The concert was supposed to be on saturday but the club Ozon is not open yet so the concert will have to wait for a month or two. As soon as it's open, we'll be there! NEW ENTRY! Father is on TOP 20 on Hrvatski (Croatian) Radio, this week positioned on number 4! I guess metal is becoming mainstream in Croatia. I'm dreaming... You can still vote for us on music.vip.hr, Machina is on 5th place this week. Shorty still holds the first place. Urghf, Croatia... Also, since this week you can buy the F-shirts (Father T-shirts, find it in merchandise section, only Croatia and Slovenian orders are available for now, but we will think of something for the rest of the planet too! Also, in the merchandise section, you can by the Father - Inspirita CD for only 10 EUR, and also the Fathermobil, price – bargain! You can check two Father-interwievs, in new number of slovenian magazine «ANTENA» and in «BRAVO» magazine. Also, we have to mention the RI-ROCK festival which happened last week in Rijeka's popular club Tocka, it was under a new organization, we have only two words for them – WELL DONE! Everything was great, the organization, the bands and the sound, everybody did their job properly! A lot of satisfied people is the best proof that the new leadership had succeeded and that they deserve to organize the festival next year as well. This was the best concert of our career and that's because of you! Without exaggeration I can say that Rijeka's audience is the BEST AUDIENCE IN THE WORLD!!! I knew you could do it! Thank you for giving us such a warm welcome and for showing up in such a large number! One owner says there were between 850 and 1000 people while the other says more than 1000. In any case, a lot of fans! There was no Evil Disco but Sorola did a great job with the music. We hope you were satisfied with everything as well! We got a lot of help from the legendary drummer and fire-thrower Borko Borkudin, Marta Martinje from Ashes You Leave on the violin and Darac on the saxophone from The Bitch Inside. People - thanks a lot!! Also, in charge of the excellent VJ session was the legendary Internet Surgeon Mirko Zorz! Thanks to Najki for the flags, they came out great! There will probably be some clips from the concert as well. Our next concert is in Pozega on November 25th, we're coming and we're gonna kick your ass!! Figuratively speaking :) the following day should be Sisak but we're still waiting for confirmation. Check the tour dates in a few days to be sure. Since the last time we had some news on this page we had 2 concerts, in Mostar and Dubrovnik. Mostar is a great town and they got some amazing food there, next time we'll take some time to experience all of that ourselves. It's amazing how little we managed to do. We came in town at around 7 PM and we had the soundcheck so we didn't have time to check out anything. OK, I'm lying, we had some excellent food, thank you Asmir for the home cooked meals and for being a great host! At both concerts we had opening bands - Clown in Mostar and Febra in Dubrovnik and here's a "hello!" for you people! Both bands were great and below you can see a few photos from Dubrovnik so that you get a feeling of the concert. A special greeting goes to the Dubrovnik crowd, you kicked some serious ass and we are very grateful. We'll be coming back as soon as we can! This week we have the promotion in Rijeka, club Tocka on Friday 11.11.2005. The concert is free and as the majority of you knows we're gonna go in debt for this one but we're hopefully gonna get our money back soon from other gigs. This came in handy so that we can spend some of that money that we already invested in houses and expensive cars... :) There's going to be some Evil Disco which means great music all night long. We had a press conference / meet & greet with the fans in the Dalls Shop, there were many friends, fans and journalists, we gave some autographs, Mario (our manager) gave a few words, we hang out. All in all, a great day. Thank you all for coming. At the end of the day we got pretty wasted, it's amazing what a few snacks at the press conference can do to a person :) Unfortunately, the shows in Sibenik and Zadar are not going to happen for now. We are certainly going to have a concert in Sibenik and Split until the end of the year but Zadar will wait since there is no adequate space. It seems like the Maya pub we were supposed to play in was a bit too fancy for Father. The concert in club "X" in Labin has been confirmed, it's the famous hamburger joint! Since the legendary Uljanik is having trouble with organizing shows at the moment all of you that asked us for a show in Pula can come by to Labin, it's not far and we guarantee an amazing show and, like at the press conference, a lot of snacks :) We hope to see you all soon!!
31.10.2005. - Hello! We're back!!! After a longer waiting period the official Father website is finally unveiled in its new version. There are so many news I don't know where to start! For those that are still unavare of this new exciting news - the Father long-awaited debut album "Inspirita" has been released! "Inspirita" has been in stores already for three weeks and can be bought in Dallas shops all over Croatia and Slovenija for a great price (approx. 11 EUR) and in other CD shops for a bit higher price. We still think that this price is too high for Croatian standards but it was supposed to be 15 EUR but we managed to convince our label to lower the price and give more people the opportunity to enjoy the CD. From what we can hear sales are going strong so this was obviously a good move! We would like to thank everyone for their comments and e-mails. We are so happy to see the album finally released that we feel happy like little children! Until now all the reviews have been very positive and that makes us very pleased and things are working along much better than we anticipated since, after all, this is Croatia, and when it comes to released albums, this kind of music basically didn't exist before us. There's an article about this on Blabbermouth.net (a website with millions of visitors) that says: "The album was issued via Dallas Records (EMI/Virgin/Mute/V2 official licence), making it somewhat a historic moment, since it is the first time that the major label in Croatia has signed a metal band with English lyrics. The media and fans are already raving about this release and the potential of the band, with sales looking great in the first few weeks. "Inspirita" was released by Dallas Records and the official released date was October 1st 2005. The negotiations were long, the recording process and the production even longer bit it was all worth it! We are more than happy with the result. There are two songs and a video available for download so check it out! As you can see the website has been completely re-designed by our Internet Surgeon Mirko Zorz, our legend and silent member. He is also to blame for the album cover and you'll get to know his VJ-ing at our live shows. There are many new sections and much more content. Our 0 single from the album "Inspirita", the song "Lost In Words" is still number 1 on the music.vip.hr top list and it's been like that for the past 2 months. We would like to extend our thanks to all the people that voted for us and support us, not just on this list but on all lists all over the country. Thank you people! The video for Machina is in rotation on almost every channel, if you haven't seen it get it here. The video was made by our dear friends Vlado Gojun (director) and Josko Morovic (cameraman) and they did an outstanding job! Thank you guys! That's it for now.
